How to use the bundle profit estimate
Enter the bundle sale price, postage charged to the buyer, the cost of each item, and the price you might have sold each item for separately. Add postage, packaging and fee assumptions. The calculator shows estimated profit and the discount compared with individual prices.
This helps when a buyer asks for several items at once. A bundle can be worth accepting if it saves time, postage or storage, but it can also quietly reduce profit if the discount is too large or the parcel moves into a dearer postage band.
What to check before accepting a bundle
Check the combined parcel weight, packaging size, compensation cover and return risk. A bundle may need a bigger box or tracked service. If one item is returned or disputed, the real outcome can differ from a simple profit estimate.
Estimate only. Marketplace rules, buyer offers, discounts, postage labels, fees, refunds and tax can change the result. Check the final marketplace screen before accepting an offer.
Worked bundle example
Imagine you list a jacket for £22, jeans for £18 and a T-shirt for £8. Sold separately, those prices add up to £48. If a buyer offers £45 for all three, the bundle discount is £3 before postage and fees. That may still be a good sale if it saves time and uses one parcel instead of three.
The risk is that postage may jump. Three lightweight items might fit into one parcel, but bulky clothes, shoes, books or boxed items can push the package into a higher size or weight band. Use the postage cost field for the actual label you expect to buy, not the postage cost from one item.
When a bundle can be worse than separate sales
A bundle can look convenient but still reduce profit if the buyer asks for a large discount, the parcel needs tracked postage, or the platform fee applies to the full bundle price plus postage. It can also increase return risk if one item in the bundle has a problem.
If you are clearing space, a lower bundle profit may be acceptable. If you bought stock to resell, compare the bundle profit with your target profit and record the item costs clearly. This calculator gives a planning estimate only and does not decide tax, seller status or platform policy.
