Clear Calculators is designed to work with as little personal data as possible. The UK pay calculator runs in your browser and does not require an account.

Calculator inputs

Your salary, pension, tax-code and deduction inputs are processed in your browser. The static calculator does not need to send those inputs to a server to produce a result.

Local storage

The calculator may save your latest inputs, theme preference and rate-update information in your browser's local storage for convenience. You can clear this by using the reset option or clearing site data in your browser.

Cookie and storage choices

Theme and saved calculator settings use local storage on your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes those saved settings.

Google's privacy message is not loaded while advertising is switched off. Cookie settings in the footer explains what this site stores on your device.

Our former local advertising and analytics switches are no longer used to collect consent. A saved choice from that panel is not treated as consent to Google's advertising services.

Analytics and hosting logs

The web host may create standard server logs such as requested pages, timestamps, browser type and IP address. These logs support operation and troubleshooting of the site. The site does not currently include a separate analytics tag.

Adverts and affiliate links

The site is not currently showing adverts or affiliate placements. If they are added later, they will be labelled. Calculator results must not be changed by paid links or advertising relationships.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

The site does not currently display Google AdSense or other advertising. Third-party advertising cookies are not loaded. If advertising is introduced later, this policy will be updated first and a consent choice will be provided where required.

Users can still review Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info for advertising choices on other websites.

Feedback messages

The feedback form sends the name, email address, message and selected tool details you enter to FormSubmit, which forwards them to feedback@clearcalculators.co.uk. Name and email are optional. Sending a form shares its contents with that provider; calculator inputs are not automatically attached.

We use messages to investigate reports and reply where requested. You can email us directly instead of using the form. Do not include account numbers, passwords, payslips or other sensitive documents. For information about the form provider's handling of data, read FormSubmit's privacy policy. Contact us if you want us to locate or delete a message you sent.
